In my twenty plus years of teaching, mentoring and counseling youth and adults, I have covered a variety of topics to assist in life transformation. Thus, here at Analogy7, we don’t adhere to lecturing, but to a co-creating, mutual, learning method that motivates our clients to think and make educated decisions for themselves. We mentor both individuals and groups based on the below diverse topics (each of which can be modified when coaching and counseling middle, secondary, and college age youth). If your particular need is not included in the below topics, we can also create topics and pedagogy to address your particular need.

College Readiness and Survival discusses issues that deal with culture shock, race, class and sex in the collegiate environment. It also emphasizes A-G requirements, class conduct, financial aid, and college application submissions. The extensive support systems available on college campuses e.g. clubs and organizations are also discussed.

Drug and Alcohol Prevention provides information on the use, effects, and prevention of alcohol and drugs (prescription, designer, or organic).

High School Survival examines the grades, study habits, college selections, SAT and PSAT scores, financial aid, and parent/teacher/peer relationships.

Health, Nutrition and Exercise addresses the importance of a healthy diet, arrest the over consumption of junk foods, and supports the need for exercise to maintain a healthy mind and body.

Life Skills offers the proper grooming and attire for professional interactions such as interviews, business meetings and presentations. It also informs the use of proper social media, how to conquer public speaking, and the importance of social behaviors, manners and common courtesy.

Mediation, Bullying and Conflict Resolution exercises certain active listening techniques, personal space, individual and group empowerment, and use of time to resolve conflict.

Video Game Balancing connects the positive and negative effects of video gaming, and how to achieve a balance in relating to outside activity, education, reality and people.
